How to blur part of an image

How do I blur a face in a photo?

Open the photo, drag a box over the face, choose Pixelate or Blur and raise the strength until the face can’t be recognized. Then select “Apply and save” and download the image.

Which effect is the safest for text?

A black box. Weak blur or small pixel blocks can sometimes be read or reconstructed, especially for short text such as numbers. If you use pixelate or blur, choose a high strength and check the preview carefully.

Can someone undo the blur?

Not from the saved file: the original pixels in the area are replaced, not hidden underneath. But a weak effect may still leave enough shape to guess what was there, which is why a strong effect or a black box is recommended for sensitive details.

Can I hide several areas at once?

Yes. Mark as many areas as you need; the same effect and strength are applied to all of them.

Does it change the rest of the image?

No. Only the marked areas change. The image keeps its format and size; PNG stays lossless and JPG and WebP are saved at high quality.

Is my image uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser, and the image never leaves your device.
